XXI Ambassador

With the help of Trusty Switchblade, PDW, and the BTA, 21st Ave Bicycles is starting a commuter support team called the XXI Ambassador. It will be a group of 21 bike commuters who will stop and help you if you are having bike problems with no cost to you. We are taking applications to become an Ambassador up until Aug. 15th. Join us.

We are the 21 Ambassadors. We believe that riding a bicycle is more than just the sum of its parts. To ride a bicycle is to be part of a community, to share a common experience, as much as it is about good health and helping environment. This is a community that we love and support, a community that we all help to grow pedaling through the cold wet winter mornings, the long carefree summer nights and everything between. We believe that as a community we should support each other in bad times as well as good. We, the 21 Ambassadors are here to help you. When tires flat and spokes break, when chains fail and gears groan, when you need a hand we hope to be there to assist. We dream that your bike will always run flawlessly, that the world can be perfect, and yet, until all the stars align, we hope to help with what we know how to do, getting you and your bike back on the road.

The 21 Ambassadors are a commuter team brought together by their love of bicycling and their support for bicycling as a valuable means of transportation. 21 Ambassadors have been equipped with roadside bicycle repair training and a whole kit of tools and supplies to make repairs. There is no charge for their kindness, helping you back on the road is payment enough. If you see the bright (color) roll just give a shout, 21 Ambassadors would love to help.

Gone for the weekend

I am off to go camping with 20 other women. Yeah, you heard me... babefest. Anyhoo... I am going to be greased up in baby oil lifting heavy things so the ladies can check out my bod all weekend, but in the meantime you can jam on these tracks.

Just a guess....

....but I'm betting that this is dad's ride.




Pegs, dude. I don't know about you, but my dad used to always hit some sweet grinds when he rode me around on his bike.

After work Sean and I stopped off at Wieden+Kennedy to check out the Daniel Johnston installation. Super good.

Steve Gitchell's Pereira

Steve and I are pals. Hell, we're going to Denmark for three weeks in August. He has been so excited to get his new custom bike, built by Tony Pereira, he could hardly stand it. When it came in he and James Wilson went out to take some pictures. Bad ass.

Just in case....

I saw this guy breaking the lock off of this Globe Roll on 3rd and Burnside today. I asked him if that was his bike. He said yes and then he got pissed when I took his picture. He asked me why I did that and I said "just in case" he asked "just in case of what?!" "just in case you are lying, of course."

Hello, I didn't forget about you. I mean, how could I? I am in love with you. I was just moving into my new place. I have my own bathroom in my room with a skylight above my shower. That's right, ladies... a skylight. Here's a fun fact about me: I hate to shower alone. Now, while we are on the subject of my hot bod.... what's that? We weren't on that subject? Well, we are now. Stay with me here.... The new Trusty Switchblade kits are in and my skin suit fits me like a glove. Except instead of just on my hand it's on my body.




My boobs are bigger than this, swear. When I asked the question "Hey, where did my boobs go?" my teammate Ben said they are in aero position. I'll buy that.
