the 1937 viking
I saw this little ditty at Urban Velo. There is a part where they say that vikings took civilization to the darkest corners of the world. Funny, I thought it was mayhem. I don't know if you knew this, but I come from a long line of vikings. Fun fact. This is totally off the subject, but I am on my lunch break and am in the back office. L.D.R. Kyle is using the bathroom behind me and holy crap is he peeing loudly. I am guessing it's all guys because of the standing scenario. Crap, that's some loud pissing.

In bed with, my man, JB.
i am laying in bed recovering and watching bike videos. i saw this one at bike jerks. james brown is one of my favorite musicians of all time. jb and his funky people. jump back! fred, maceo, and lyn feel like old friends. growing up in fargo i wasn't exposed to much funk music. when i heard it for the first time, it was like the heavens opened up and a funky light shined in my eyes. i heard a sweaty voice ask me "can i hit it and quit it?" "yeah," i said. " can i hit it and quit it?" the voice asked again. "yeah" "oooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww!" here's the part where james took a knee and some dude ran out and put a cape on him. he wore it only for a second and then jumped up to get down, saving the cape wearing for when he was good and ready. who else can make a cape look cool? elvis, but that's a different kind of cool entirely.
"open up a window, man. it's too funky, funky in here. funkity funk. funked up the air" classic.

spicy curry
does that bike look familiar? if you guessed the javelin vigorelli, you are correct. my friend, geoff at javelin, was kind enough to send some goods to give out as prizes for the next sprints.
bike you very much
TOKYO CRUISE from W-BASE BICYCLE GARAGE on Vimeo.
i saw was killing time (that's about all i do these days) and i saw this video on breakbrake17. i have been watching so many bike videos. since i can't ride for at least another 3 weeks, i am not sure if watching these is helping or hurting. every time i see someone ride by smiling, i feel a little jealous, and a little pissed that i am laid up for the summer...again. my time will come and i will never take my bike for granted. never.
