Waterworld

Honestly, I think Atlin and I just wanted to punish ourselves. It has been an absolute shit show here in Portland. It's been raining everyday for two weeks and last night was no exception. We went to Forrest Park and the way up was great, but by the time we were coming down my shoes had already filled with water.

Sometimes a bike comes in that is really unsafe and without the owner putting a bunch of cash into it all we can do is make it a little more safe. We were going to pull an Ol' Yeller and put this bike down, but how? I figured the most humane way was to choke it out. As you can tell by the picture, I didn't want to do it, but it was suffering.

Thursday Jams

Thursdays are the day all of us here at the shop work together. We are all very funny and extra charming so it makes the day go by splendidly. Cross Time

It was a typical Monday where the day seemed to go on forever. So, when we closed the shop we headed up to Forest Park for a cross ride. A good way to finish the day.

Trusty Switchblade

Mark it in your journal, Hankbuilt Cycling crew is no mo. We are all the same people (plus Sean Light) just a more intimidating name. Trusty Switchblade will spill the blood of virgins.

UAR

Mitch and I raced New Belgium's Urban Assault Ride. We started dead last and placed 36 out of 143. I guess there was a test online to figure out what wave you started the race. Good scores went first and then they waited 5 minutes and then the second heat started, another five minutes and then us. Then there was Mitch and I, Thunder Mountain.

Today Teams

Red Team (Atlin, Cheever, and Nick) looks like they are loving life a little more than Team Black (Kyle and I).



Speaking of teams, Kyle from Team Black had some Black Flag cheesey bread for lunch.
